Our Vision:
Beauty can be created by humans if one is able to successfully withdraw design principles from nature such as scale, proportion, and rhythm. At Techne Architecture, our designers investigate these properties combined with function, budget and program to produce fantastic and unprecedented projects. Quality is achieved when technical excellence is combined with aesthetic appeal. Years of experience in the design and construction industry is applied to every project in the form of accuracy, efficiency and "constructability".
Our projects not only complement the natural surroundings, but the homes strengthen the families who reside within them. Our clients’ needs and desires are fulfilled in every endeavor and special care is taken to ensure that the built environment will enhance their lifestyles.
Brian Higgins-President
Brian graduated from the University of Colorado with a Masters in Architecture with a focus on maximizing technology in design. He also received a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Pennsylvania State University specializing in structural design and construction. Brian is a registered Architect in the State of Colorado and is NCARB certified.
With an aesthetic eye and analytical mind, Brian is able to problem solve with efficiency and grace, which he believes is extremely important to a successful design, and loves to apply this principle to his work. Born and raised in Colorado, he has been involved in architecture, engineering and construction since 1996.
Brian has an affinity for ink pens, spontaneity and great restaurants. Absent from his life are # 2 pencils and bow ties. He strives for a creative work atmosphere mixing the ambition of James Bond,
the
humility of Oliver Twist and the humor of Dane Cook. Brian enjoys telling epic stories of wandering alone in the woods and what it was like growing up in the 80’s with a mullet. In his spare time he enjoys anything athletic, Capoeira, and Pinot Noir.
